Jewellery Disasters: 10 Celebrities Who Wear Jewellery Badly

Jewellery can be worn as a status, faith, political or style  symbol. All items can be worn a classic or contemporary way, using different metals, jewels and attachments. However sometimes with the variety that the C21st century had brought about within the world of jewellery, come people can take it to the extreme. Sometimes it is the whole 'less is more' phrase that really should be undertaken. We are not saying that style and character should not be conveyed or expressed, it is just that sometimes it needs to be addressed in a more subtle or less garish way. So here are some don 't in jewellery wearing:

So here are the top 10 worst style of jewellery worn by celebrities:

1  - Flavor Flav:

Now over 50 years old Mr Flav has made his crown and clock necklace infamous. It is a jewellery combination that should never be worn together. A pocket watch, a single gold chain and a gold baseball cap would suffice as alternative jewellery and accessories wouldn't it?

2 - Pat Butcher (Evans):  Spending over 20 years on Eastenders Pat St Clement has made her fictional character infamous by wearing the most colourful, big and extremely brave earrings.   Statement jewellery should be a key item in everyone's collection but this is not a good way of doing it. Choose subtle colours when wearing bright outfits or vice versa, do not do both at once.

4  - Slick Rick: 'LESS IS MORE'...definitely too much gold is being worn by  British  born, American Hip-Hop  star, Slick Rick. The over sized medallions and chains are a common style worn by various music artists in the states, but there has to be a limit to how much and how many are worn.

5 - John McCririck: There are many things McCrirck has become famous for and his statment style is unfortunately  one of them. Rings on every finger is never a good look expcially if various metal colours are combined and various styles. It is an eccentric style but if you choose to use jewellery to make a statement use a blank canvas not a fez and a camel cardy.

6 - Mr T: Laurance Tureaud has made his alias 'Mr T' infamous around the world with the use of his statement and extensive wearing of jewellery. He has built his identity around the use of the excessive chains but it is neither good for your pockets or your health...OTT springs to mind.

7 - Ali G: A satirical character invenetd by Sacha Baron Cohen was made to imiatet a non-black urban male that insipred to lead the black and jamiacan culture. However for comedy purposes he has been styled using cheap gold or imitation gold...going for the quantity not quality.

8 - David Gest - Always rocking a large cricifix along with other necklaces, gest adopts an almost Gothic style matching his jewellery with an all black, skull ridden attire. However if this was worn by someone who was a true Goth or even rocker then this style might not seem so out of place.

9- GLC: The group of lads have made a living imitating chavs,  sporting cheap looking chains and rings along with tracksuits. This will never be a great look, even if it is being worn as an ironic statment. Leave it to the people who really do like it.

10 - Paris Hilton: Her style is always a bit hit and miss. She definitely has her own style, but this ring was worn in hommage to her love for boyfriend Benji Madden, who also wore a matching inital ring. It is almost  like getting your beloved's name tatooed on your arm...you will always be doomed.
